Reclaiming My Time

Today on my walk to work the theme for my 32nd year of life came to me: Reclaiming My Time.

I was listening to my Gospel All Star playlist and two songs came on that inspired this theme. Step Aside by Yolanda Adams and Hold On by James Fortune. I have to take time now to step aside and let God do his thing in my life. I also have to hold on for the ride he is about to take me on. I can feel it being a bumpy and eventful ride. Areas I want to reclaim my time are:

  • Spiritual relationship with God
  • Physical health
  • Financial health
  • Aspirations

I want to take my time back from fear of success. I want to take my time back from other people’s unsolicited opinion of my process and my journey. I want to take my time back from things that steal my energy when I need it most.

In taking my time back from all these things, I want to shift the focus on things that can make a difference in my journey. I want to dedicate my energy to walking boldly in my own sense of confidence.

QOTD: What have you been losing time doing? How can you re-direct your course and get back on track to the path you hoped to be on?
